Premier Mxolisi Dukwana, accompanied by MECs Meeko, Mokoena and Mahase and their HoDs, meets the Indonesian Consul-General to Cape Town — Mr Tudiono —to explore a number of opportunities, in strengthening ties with counterpart regions in Indonesia.

Areas of interest between Indonesia and the Free State include but, are not limited to:

tourism ( including cultural exchanges), agriculture (with a specific focus on cattle-farming for halaal meat production, latching on the halaal meat sorter, for consumption among Indonesia’s 275,501 339 people –2022),  business matching opportunities.,and other forms of trade and investment.

This is also in consideration for cooperation, with local universities and Indonesian universities — university-to university cooperation.

Sister-city arrangements, are also being explored, to promote municipality-to- municipality relations, and people-to-people relations.

Premier Dukwana welcomed CG Tudiono warmly and invited him to explore all forms of opportunities, for the mutual growth and survival of both peoples.

The Premier expressed great enthusiasm, in getting the nuts and bolts of this relationship going, for their immediate execution.
