Premier Letsoha-Mathae keeps her promise made to Jagersfontein residents!

On 23 August 2024 the Itumeleng Community Hall was abuzz with activity as the Free State Provincial Government brought integrated government services to the community of  Jagersfontein, in Kopanong Municipality.

The programme follows Premier MaQueen’s visit to the mining town on 14 August where she promised the community that government would return to provide them with services .

During his event inspection, Executive Mayor of Kopanong Municipality , Mr Xolani Tseletsele applauded the Premier for her quick response to the community. “Last week the Premier said she would bring services to Jagersfontein and we truly appreciate that she has stood true to her word,” said  Tseletsele. According to the Mayor the community of Jaggersfontein truly appreciated the intervention made by government to bring services closer to their door steps.

Tseletsele said further service interventions were still needed in the mining community.

“During my interactions with some community members  I picked up that a lot of them have issues relating to  HuPremier Letsoha-Mathae keeps her promise to Jagersfontein residents!

“During my interactions with some community members  I picked up that a lot of them have issues relating to  human settlements” he said .The Mayor committed that he would engage with the Premier to ensure that the government rolls out a programme for the entire Jagersfontein pg slot88 to address title deed and other housing challenges that plague the community .

·       SASSA enquiries,

·       CCMA enquiries,

·       Home Affairs,

·       National Housing Needs Register,

·       Veterinary Services by the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environmental Affairs, and

·       SIU enquiries
